Source text · highlightedTerry Jean Brady‘s clothed body was found on May 12, 1971 in the Minnesota River about one mile east of the Bloomington Ferry Bridge. Investigators believe she had been weighted down with rope and cement blocks. The medical examiner determined that Brady died of manual strangulation. Her red ’65 Pontiac LeMans convertible was found abandoned in Bloomington shortly after her body was recovered. Brady was in the process of a divorce and had attended a party on May 2, 1971, the night she disappeared. She was intoxicated when she left the party and had indicated that she was going to see someone who cared about her.
