Source text · highlightedOn August 1, 1983, around 12:35 a.m., emergency personnel responded to the 6900 block of German Hill Road, 21222, for an unconscious person. When crews arrived, they found John Dlubala deceased, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. His body was located on the back porch of a residence. Detectives later learned that John had been at the Jay Cee Inn, which was located in the 6900 block of Fait Avenue, just prior to his murder. John, who was known as “Jeep,” was described as a “very quiet, gentle person” who was always willing to help others. The Sparrows Point High School graduate also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. John was 60 years old at the time of his murder.
