Source text · highlightedAt approximately 4:40 p.m., on August 25, 1995, officers responded to a wooded area behind the Liberty Shopping Center in Randallstown in reference to a badly decomposed body that a group of children had located. Dental records helped identify the person as Cheryl Rivera. Autopsy results showed Cheryl had been strangled. Her death was ruled a homicide. Cheryl was last seen alive on July 27, 1995, leaving a party being held on Cinnamon Circle, 21133. The mother of four was 30 years old at the time of her death.
