Source text · highlightedOn January 3, 2016, at 7:30pm, Columbus Police were sent to the 5800 block of Riverton Road off of McNaughten Road, on a report of a man lying in a resident’s front yard. When officers arrived, they found a 52-year old white male, later identified as Leonid Kaplan, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Mr. Kaplan and his mother lived in the area where his body was found, and he was seen frequently jogging in the area. Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for any information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the person(s) responsible for this crime.
