Source text · highlightedOn July 7, 2003 at 8:39 a.m., a wildlife researcher discovered a decomposing body in the Patuxent Wetlands Park. This park is in the rural section of Anne Arundel County and is near Route 4 in Lothian Maryland. The body was identified as twenty year old Demonte Lee Atkins who had ties to the Capital Heights area of Prince Georges County but had recently been living in Henrico County Virginia. Mr. Atkins suffered trauma to the upper body with the manner being homicide.
