Source text · highlightedOn Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at approximately 3:09 p.m., Anne Arundel County Eastern District Officers responded to the 300 block of Hospital Drive, Glen Burnie, Maryland for a shooting. Upon arrival officers located an adult male victim being treated by medical personnel. The victim, identified as Andre Lee Garrett, a thirty-nine year old male from the 1400 block of Iverson Street, Oxon Hill, Maryland, was transported to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries. Mr. Garrett was an employee of the business and was outside taking a break. During the break the suspect pointed a handgun at the victim striking and killing him. The suspect was described as a male wearing a black baseball hat, a long sleeved white shirt with a short sleeve dark colored shirt over it appearing to be 5'06, thin build with wavy shoulder length hair. After the shooting the suspect walked from the area. Investigation revealed the suspect may have entered a silver car parked in the parking lot and drove from the scene.
