Source text · highlightedOn August 7, 2003, Maria and her 3 year old daughter Wendy were attempting to flee from an unknown suspect who was chasing them in a vehicle. In an effort to escape, they ran into a nearby alley. The suspect, however, followed them into the alley and struck them with his vehicle. The suspect again drove through the alley and stuck them again with the vehicle. Both of them died as a result of their injuries.
