Source text · highlightedAs a child, Van T. Rogers overcame his special needs and was able to live by himself in Capitol Hill. On January 13, 1978, at 29 years of age, Van Rogers was found dead behind the apartment complex near the intersection of East 12th Avenue and Ogden Street. An autopsy revealed he had been beaten to death.
