Source text · highlightedOn November 12, 1977, in the early evening, an officer was flagged down by a citizen next to the 14th Street Liquor Store stating there was an unresponsive male lying on the floor in the Liquor Store. It was determined that the store clerk, Irva Steele, had been shot and killed while working at the store.
