Source text · highlightedOn May 16, 2012, the body of Joseph Peters was discovered by employees of the Farmers Reservoir and Irrigation Company. The body was found shot and wrapped in a blue tarp in an irrigation ditch near Interstate 76 and Weld County Road 12 1/2 in Weld County. Peters was last known to have been in the Denver and Brighton areas. He had been in the process of starting a medicinal marijuana business at the time.
