Source text · highlightedCarolyn, age 30, was a clerk at Natters’ Market at 3065 S. and 700 E. in Salt Lake City, UT on the afternoon of September 2, 1971 when an armed gunman entered the store to commit a robbery. Carolyn had her two small children in the store with her at the time. It’s possible she struggled with the suspect. She and a deliveryman were both shot. The suspect attempted to shoot another deliveryman but the gun did not discharge. Carolyn died later as a result of her injuries.
