Source text · highlightedMichael, age 23, was delivering bread to Natters’ Market at 3065 S. 700 E. in Salt Lake City, UT at approximately 2:00 pm on the afternoon of September 2, 1971. An armed male suspect entered the store and proceeded to commit a robbery. Both Michael and a female clerk were shot. Michael died at the scene and the clerk died later as a result of her injuries. The suspect attempted to shoot another deliveryman but the gun did not discharge.
