Source text · highlightedOn Thursday, October 24, 2019 at approximately 7:33 p.m., officers responded to the area of Audrey Avenue and Ruth Street, Brooklyn Park, Maryland for a shooting. Upon arrival officers located the victim, Robert Lee Thomas Jr., a forty-five year old male, lying on the sidewalk. Mr. Thomas Jr. was transported to Shock Trauma for treatment of multiple injuries. During the evening hours of Monday, October 28, 2019 Mr. Thomas Jr. succumbed to his injuries where the medical examiner ruled his cause of death as multiple guns shot wounds with the manner being homicide. Investigation revealed a male subject was standing over the victim firing a handgun. The male suspect then jumped onto the back of a mini/dirt bike where the driver of the dirt bike drove the suspect away from the scene.
